Rome Pass
Visiting Rome for a few days?
Yes, but without spending my entire month’s salary if possible.
A solution is to book a appartamenti Roma, that, if booked for more people, will definitely be cheaper than a hotel. Then, after taking a low cost flight, whose prices, if you’re lucky could be around 20 euros for one way, you can buy a discount card to save you time and money. There are many museums and cultural attractions to see you know, so it is better to hold the card and take advantage of certain benefits.
There are 2 pass-cards: the Roma Pass and Roma & More Pass that cost 23 and 25 euros respectively. Both are designed to facilitate tourist visits allowing him to enjoy the beauty of Rome.
They are promoted by the City of Rome and by the Ministry for Arts and cultural activities with the participation of outside companies that provide the transport network.
With the first card you have free access to two museums, while there are discounts on all other events like exhibitions, dance events, theatre, or other museums. The card also offers free access to the transport network of the city allowing the visitor to move easily.
The Roma Pass is composed of a Rome Transport Pass for travel on bus, metro A and B, trains to Lido, Viterbo and Pantano, a Rome Map showing the main attractions as well as information points, a Roma Pass Guide with the list of museums and all the events and services where you can get discounts of various kinds.
To use the card, you must fill it in with your name and it is activated on the first use. Its duration is three days and expires at midnight on the third day from the first travel and entry made.
The card that costs 25 euros, costing only two euros more than the Roma Pass, offers the same services, but also allows you to travel in the province of Rome, including Cotral buses and Trenitalia regional trains. If you have enough time, it is an excellent way to see what the Roman province has to offer.

Wisconsin Tourism Ideas – Fishing For Steelheads
Filed Under North America | Leave a Comment
Searching for cool concepts for your next fishing outing? Consider Wisconsin travel ideas. Wisconsin sport fishing getaways include the tributaries that flow in from Lake Michigan bringing the trout that have developed to anywhere from 10 to 18 pounds in the later spring cold waters but as soon as the weather starts to increase.
Skittish, jumpy trout are really more so when they are in the warm waters of the tributaries than when they are in the colder waters of Lake Michigan. They have to come into the tributaries to breed but you will have to be prepared for them when the time is right. You will need all your talent to induce them to take the hook.
Late February to Mid-April is the time that two of the types of trout that come into Wisconsin begin their run. The weather begins to increase and the fish begin their run.
Put the hook above the bottom, tease it to the face of the fish and be prepared to react when it takes off, which it may. The fish will try to snap the line if it can get any slack in it. The fish are often larger than the 10 pound line most fisherman utilize but you can get them if you run them to tire them out and then start reeling them in.
There are quite a few Lake Michigan tributaries in Wisconsin, many of them are Kewaunee, Root, Oconto, Manitowoc, Menominee, Milwaukee, East Twin, Peshtigo, Ahnapee, and West Twin rivers. Additional steelhead rivers include the Pigeon, Little, Pike, Menomonee, and Kinnickinnic streams; Stony, Oak, Heins, Sauk, Whitefish Bay, Fischer, Silver, and Reibolts creeks.
There just aren’t many Central Wisconsin vacation that will appeal to the fisherman like the rivers with the steelhead competitions. You will be so happy you spent the time to come and experience the people, face the elusive trout and feel that you have been in some of the most gorgeous countryside in the world.

An Insight Into Beautiful Paris In 2009
Filed Under Vacation Rentals | Leave a Comment
Oh Paris, how we adore thee! The opening of a brand new chocolate & pastry shop/cafe in the Marais (133 rue de Turenne) – Jacques Genin nearby many paris apartments definitely got my sweet tooth going last week…
Aside from the stunning pastries and chocolates that literally made me drool, (and which I will get to later) the décor was superb and done to a very high standard. Not only did this chocolate heaven have beautiful wooden flooring, a white stone archway dating back from the 9th century and soft grey leather chairs, the wallpaper was white with imbedded rose stems! It really was the height of elegance, and this, if nothing else is going to really attract the punters.
Now, for more of those Jacques Genin deserts that were to die for. After years of “umming” and “ahhing” he has finally opened this delicious boutique, previously you had to call, or just show up at his workshop in the 15th arrondissement, and hope he had a moment in his frantic schedule.
Amongst his most delicious creations, you will find a healthy number of chocolates, including ones flavored with fresh mint, pu er tea, and grapefruit zest. He’s keeping his other workshop going, but this store features a café, for those wanting to indulge in a creamy éclair au chocolat or a caramel cream-filled Paris-Brest, and a chocolat chaud. As well as this, some of his best recipes include soft pâte de fruit made with elusive Charontais melon, fresh black currants, and fruity raspberry. Not only this but this prestigious man sells his chocolates to the finest hotels and restaurants in Paris, including the George V and Le Comptoir.
So, on your weekend break in Paris, why not take a trip to the Marais and buy a decent selection of these fantastic chocolates to take back to your paris accommodation and gobble down with your loved ones?

Vacation Planning – Know Before You Go
Filed Under Luxury Travel | Leave a Comment
A little research on your vacation destination before you travel could save you a lot of money during your trip.
For a start you should pack your travel items and clothes according to the research you have done to ensure that you won’t need to make any unnecessary purchases when you get to your destination. On a recent trip we didn’t know that the restaurant only allowed men to wear long pants to dinner in the hotel restaurant; we only discovered this when my husband arrived with only shorts in his suitcase! A little planning would have saved us having to buy an expensive pair of pants just so he could eat the meals we had already paid for!
Make sure that items such as shoes have been worn in before you go on vacation. There is nothing worse than blisters to ruin your vacation and make you miserable.
It is better to be comfortable than to look the part. If you decide to only pack your designer label clothes you might find that you are spending money on cheaper more comfortable clothes when you reach your resort. Don’t forget sun tan lotion can ruin clothes so leave your best clothes at home and put some older more comfortable items in your case.
Use common sense when packing and take into account the climate of the places you are visiting but still allow for changes in the weather by taking additional clothing so you can stay warm and comfortable at all times. Throw in a light sweater and a pair of long pants or jeans and you’ll be ready for any eventuality.
Many people go on vacation fully intending to make shopping a part of the experience but as with shops anywhere, and even in your own locality, you know that there can be some big variances in prices and you will only be able to get the bargains you are after by talking to people prior to your holiday. Make sure you know the locations of the discount shopping malls before you travel.
If you don’t know anyone who has been to the places that you are visiting then use the Internet and visit travel websites to find the information. It can save you a bundle of cash that can be spent elsewhere or saved for another trip.
When you reach your destination, talk to people and in particular other travelers as quite often people will visit the same holiday spots many times and get to know the best places to go. That sort of information is invaluable and is a good way to save money provided you get advice from more than one person confirming what you hear.
Diving In Thailand
Filed Under Diving | Leave a Comment
With the presence of leopard sharks, whale sharks, silvertips, and manta rays, scuba diving in Thailand is not to be missed. Diving is available on both coasts of Thailand – each complementing the other and allowing diving when the other is unsuitable because of the weather.
Liveaboards and shore based diving from the mainland and the array of satellite islands around Thailand offer plenty of marine life and corals plus a few good wrecks.
Dotted with coral reefs as well as deeper offshore pinnacles, it’s not hard to understand Thailand’s popularity among backpackers and members of the dive community alike. Sheltered sandy bays supply the perfect depths for learner divers, while the more adventurously inclined can visit deeper sites and perhaps even succeed in the diver’s dream of seeing a whale shark or two.
The newly sunk HTMS Khram shipwreck is found just south of Koh Phi and has quickly become popular among local divers. A large amount of marine life has already been attracted to this wreck in a relatively short time.
The Samae San / Sattahip area benefits from similar diving conditions, with the extra attraction of two large intact shipwrecks. The Petchburi Bremen is an old freighter sunk in 60 feet of water in the Khram Channel (Sattahip). It acts as home to many Grouper and Barracuda. The Hardeep is a cargo ship sunk in 28 meters during the World War II era. This ship is completely intact, and can be dived from bow to stern entirely inside!!
With a large hole ripped through her belly the King Cruiser went down in less than 60 minutes and supplied the Phuket Diving community, at long last, with her own artificial reef. At 25 meters you’ll see the engine room and car deck. Returning to 60 meters you’ll find the passenger section which has the heads, bar and lots of tables and chairs. Even having a low ceiling it is considered relatively safe to penetrate as the doors are broken off.
At 15 meters you’ll see the captain’s cabin and wheel house. The reef is flooded with life and its closeness to Shark Point and Anemone Reef has undoubtedly had a lot to do with its sudden population growth. The wreck is an extremely well liked dive and thought of as one of the best in region.
In Shark Island depths range from 60 feet and above at the southern tip to the surface and at the deeper depths you may find Leopard and Reef Sharks. At the shallow end you will see pretty gardens of vividly colourful corals and anemones and at high tide it is even possible to cross from one side of the southern island to the other. This site supplies a huge variety of fish including the Blue Ringed Angel, Long Fin Banner, and if you are lucky the odd resident Hawksbill Turtle.
Best Of Berlin Tourist Guide
Filed Under Vacation Rentals | Leave a Comment
The Europa- Center in Berlin is located next to the Kaiser- Wilhelm- Memorial Church and has more than 70 shops, restaurants, pubs, banks and a lot more. But it is more than just a shopping mall: Here you will get some culture, monuments and a beautiful view over Berlin if you visit the “Berlin windows” on the 20th floor. The Europa-Center is a memorial of Berlin and invites you to go shopping. No matter what you are looking for, the Europa- Center offers you electronics, clothes, services and much more.
The story of the centre started in 1965. In that time, the then mayor Willi Brandt dedicated the 103 metre high glass- building. In total, the centre is 80.000m2.
Besides the many shopping opportunities there are some sights you can have a look at in the Europa- Center. The globe- fountain for example, which is located immediately in front of the centre and was built in 1983. Here you can see artists performing pantomime or acrobatics everyday. People in Berlin call the fountain “Wasserklops” which is a huge bowl in the water.
The “clock of running time” is located within the very centre and shows you the time a bit differently: 12 big balls and 30 flat ones which get filled with liquid are the clock itself. Each small ball gets filled completely within 2 minutes so all 30 balls are filled within an hour. Big, filled balls show you how many hours already passed. Each day at 1am and again at 1pm the whole system is emptied and the cycle starts again.
Of course there are also lots of places to eat at within the Europa- Center. There is something for everyone starting with snack bars and ranging to Italian restaurants.
Plus, if you are still looking for something to do in the evening, you can watch the cabaret “Die Stachelschweine” (The Hedgehogs) which also takes place within the centre.
You can find the centre at Tauentzienstr. 9-12 in Berlin Mitte and you can easily get there by public transport. The centre is open 24/7 but have a look at the individual opening hours of the shops.
If you come to Berlin you should take your time to visit the Europa-Center. Many people do not know about the many monuments you can see in there but it is definitely worth having a look at them.
Have a look for a Unterkünfte berlin in advance so your trip to the German capital will be perfect. Most of the are very centrally located so they are a good starting point to visit the city. A is a good alternative since it offers enough space for you and your travel partners and you can save some money.
