Visiting Rome for a few days?
Yes, but without spending my entire month’s salary if possible.

A solution is to book a appartamenti Roma, that, if booked for more people, will definitely be cheaper than a hotel. Then, after taking a low cost flight, whose prices, if you’re lucky could be around 20 euros for one way, you can buy a discount card to save you time and money. There are many museums and cultural attractions to see you know, so it is better to hold the card and take advantage of certain benefits.

There are 2 pass-cards: the Roma Pass and Roma & More Pass that cost 23 and 25 euros respectively. Both are designed to facilitate tourist visits allowing him to enjoy the beauty of Rome.

They are promoted by the City of Rome and by the Ministry for Arts and cultural activities with the participation of outside companies that provide the transport network.

With the first card you have free access to two museums, while there are discounts on all other events like exhibitions, dance events, theatre, or other museums. The card also offers free access to the transport network of the city allowing the visitor to move easily.

The Roma Pass is composed of a Rome Transport Pass for travel on bus, metro A and B, trains to Lido, Viterbo and Pantano, a Rome Map showing the main attractions as well as information points, a Roma Pass Guide with the list of museums and all the events and services where you can get discounts of various kinds.

To use the card, you must fill it in with your name and it is activated on the first use. Its duration is three days and expires at midnight on the third day from the first travel and entry made.

The card that costs 25 euros, costing only two euros more than the Roma Pass, offers the same services, but also allows you to travel in the province of Rome, including Cotral buses and Trenitalia regional trains. If you have enough time, it is an excellent way to see what the Roman province has to offer.

Oh Paris, how we adore thee! The opening of a brand new chocolate & pastry shop/cafe in the Marais (133 rue de Turenne) – Jacques Genin nearby many paris apartments definitely got my sweet tooth going last week…

Aside from the stunning pastries and chocolates that literally made me drool, (and which I will get to later) the décor was superb and done to a very high standard. Not only did this chocolate heaven have beautiful wooden flooring, a white stone archway dating back from the 9th century and soft grey leather chairs, the wallpaper was white with imbedded rose stems! It really was the height of elegance, and this, if nothing else is going to really attract the punters.

Now, for more of those Jacques Genin deserts that were to die for. After years of “umming” and “ahhing” he has finally opened this delicious boutique, previously you had to call, or just show up at his workshop in the 15th arrondissement, and hope he had a moment in his frantic schedule.

Amongst his most delicious creations, you will find a healthy number of chocolates, including ones flavored with fresh mint, pu er tea, and grapefruit zest. He’s keeping his other workshop going, but this store features a café, for those wanting to indulge in a creamy éclair au chocolat or a caramel cream-filled Paris-Brest, and a chocolat chaud. As well as this, some of his best recipes include soft pâte de fruit made with elusive Charontais melon, fresh black currants, and fruity raspberry. Not only this but this prestigious man sells his chocolates to the finest hotels and restaurants in Paris, including the George V and Le Comptoir.

So, on your weekend break in Paris, why not take a trip to the Marais and buy a decent selection of these fantastic chocolates to take back to your paris accommodation and gobble down with your loved ones?

The Europa- Center in Berlin is located next to the Kaiser- Wilhelm- Memorial Church and has more than 70 shops, restaurants, pubs, banks and a lot more. But it is more than just a shopping mall: Here you will get some culture, monuments and a beautiful view over Berlin if you visit the “Berlin windows” on the 20th floor. The Europa-Center is a memorial of Berlin and invites you to go shopping. No matter what you are looking for, the Europa- Center offers you electronics, clothes, services and much more.

The story of the centre started in 1965. In that time, the then mayor Willi Brandt dedicated the 103 metre high glass- building. In total, the centre is 80.000m2.

Besides the many shopping opportunities there are some sights you can have a look at in the Europa- Center. The globe- fountain for example, which is located immediately in front of the centre and was built in 1983. Here you can see artists performing pantomime or acrobatics everyday. People in Berlin call the fountain “Wasserklops” which is a huge bowl in the water.

The “clock of running time” is located within the very centre and shows you the time a bit differently: 12 big balls and 30 flat ones which get filled with liquid are the clock itself. Each small ball gets filled completely within 2 minutes so all 30 balls are filled within an hour. Big, filled balls show you how many hours already passed. Each day at 1am and again at 1pm the whole system is emptied and the cycle starts again.

Of course there are also lots of places to eat at within the Europa- Center. There is something for everyone starting with snack bars and ranging to Italian restaurants.
Plus, if you are still looking for something to do in the evening, you can watch the cabaret “Die Stachelschweine” (The Hedgehogs) which also takes place within the centre.

You can find the centre at Tauentzienstr. 9-12 in Berlin Mitte and you can easily get there by public transport. The centre is open 24/7 but have a look at the individual opening hours of the shops.

If you come to Berlin you should take your time to visit the Europa-Center. Many people do not know about the many monuments you can see in there but it is definitely worth having a look at them.

Have a look for a Unterkünfte berlin in advance so your trip to the German capital will be perfect. Most of the are very centrally located so they are a good starting point to visit the city. A is a good alternative since it offers enough space for you and your travel partners and you can save some money.

Once a upon a time, (all good stories start like that), my partner and I were on holiday sitting on a sun drenched beach. As usual our minds wandered to conversations like ‘Why can’t we do this all the time?’ ‘Why do we cram in pleasure into a 2 or 3 week each holiday a year?’ ‘How could we make money to make our dreams a reality?’ After kicking it around the answer was simple. Why not buy a holiday home abroad? It appeared to have lots of advantages. We could use it when we wanted too for weekends or holidays. We could offer it to family and friends and or even go with them and spend some quality time together. We could winter in Spain. We could rent it out to help pay the mortgage. The list advantages seemed endless.

Where to buy? After much reasoning we finally agreed on Spain since it has lots of sunshine, with temperatures ranging from a minimum/maximum of 7C/21c in the spring to 16C/34C in the summer, 10C/23C in the autumn and 2C/17C in the winter. It sees an average of 320 days of sunshine a year. It has miles of beaches, lovely food, lots of green golf courses, friendly people and the flights from the UK are reasonably inexpensive. Another huge benefit was perceived to be the fact that a great many of the local people speak English. A major factor was the long list of activities and facilities the area offered.

We decided finally on the Costa del Sol to purchase our property. We simply felt it was ideal for us. Spain is a vast country and if you invest ina property you have to ensure the area is right for you, after all we are all different. This Costa is Spain’s best known coastline and is 99 miles long stretching form Nerja in the east to Gibraltar in the south west. It has a population of 1.2 million and very important for rentals some 8 million plus tourists visit each year. The scenery is dramatic, the coastline being backed by high mountain ranges. The coast is green and lush and the selected a property at Casares Del Sol and once set up with the required holiday furniture we have had several pleasurable trips there this year.

The process from concept to reality took around 2 years and we chose to share the experience with others considering embarking ona similar life changing path. If we learned one lesson to share with others, it is that villa furniture packs really do take the stress out of the buying process.

If you think that it is a bit early to start thinking about your bank holiday in May, think again! You have to think in advance if you want to find the best bargains on apartments in barcelona and everyone knows that know a days everyone is looking after their money. We would therefore like to suggest some sights to see in Barcelona that would be perfect for your bank holiday in May to make sure you will have a fun and cheaper holiday!

From my point of view, Barcelona is the ideal destination to spend a bank holiday. There is a list that would stretch higher than the Sagrada Familia full of things to do…Las Ramblas, Montjuïc, The Magic Fountains, Casa Battló, Parc Güell and the Sagrada Familia of course, but the list keeps on going. With a big presence of young travellers, there are many apartments barcelona as well as many hostels and hotels where you don’t have to spend a huge amount of your savings to stay somewhere nice. As well as this, if you fly from Girona, you will be able to find cheap flights with Ryanair.

However, it is also important to remember that during the bank holiday, shops and supermarkets remain closed. Unlike the UK, bank holidays in Barcelona mean a day off for everyone, not just the teachers and school children! Concerning this, it would be wise to get all your shopping done over the weekend, that’s including food.

To make your bank holiday in May a truly special one, why not enjoy a meal out with your family. Perhaps some of the lovliest tapas bars can be found in El Born, a beautiful barrio of Barcelona which is one of the most popular places to live and work. There are also many boutiques to window shop at and the metro stop Jaume I takes you straight there.

When it’s time to rent a car, many consumers don’t realize that you can get substantial discounts online through rental car promotion codes. There are several of them to choose from no matter what car company you’re renting from, all you have to do is look.

The first thing we have to do is find a reputable company that offers several rental car promotion codes for consumers to utilize. After we researched several of them, we found that the Rental Car Promotion Codes website gave us the most variety and a bunch of extra benefits. Plus they explain to you how to go about taking advantage of these discounts.

Avis Car Rental Avis Car Rental Codes

When you’re viewing different prices on car rentals it can be quite pricey to get a larger sized vehicle. However, you can simply get rental car promotion codes that allow you to upgrade for nothing. When you view the Avis page it’s one of the first codes you will find that offers an upgrade to a intermediate or full sized vehicle. Just make sure you read over the stipulations.

Enterprise Car Rental Enterprise Rent A Car Coupon Enterprise Car Rental Discounts

If you’re going to be traveling for the weekend we found a great deal on the Enterprise page that offers 50% off your weekend rental. This can be huge considering the state our economy has been in for quite some time. Seriously, when your bill is substantially lower won’t you be glad when you get the bill? Of course you will, which is why we have more.

The Best of the Rest

We understand you may use another company like Dollar and Thrifty, but we wanted to give some examples of the top rental companies since everyone would know their names. However, just about any company of this nature has rental car promotion codes available on the Internet. All you have to do is a little research and before you know it the savings will start to kick in at checkout time.

Getting More

Just because these are about rental car promotion codes, doesn’t mean they are the only types of benefits available. Seriously, even if you can save a few bucks on hotels, airfare, credit car companies, and several other things then it’s well worth looking into sooner than later.

In the end it’s not only about saving money, but also saving time. We understand the world has never been as fast paced as it today. Why spend hours looking on several different websites and spending hours upon hours of time finding the best deals out there. All you have to do is head over to a website just like the one we looked into, grab the code you desire and make it happen in a few minutes. It’s a shame everyone doesn’t know about these types of benefits yet. Hopefully they will soon.

Going on a romantic getaway can add passion to your relationship and keep love flowing between both of you. A romantic getaway will allow some time with each other, without the worry and stress of crowds or other people. A romantic getaway creates the perfect atmosphere to escape the normalcy and busyness of everyday life and with nothing to get in your way it can lead to a blooming of romance that would otherwise have been unthinkable.

Carefully make plans to energize your romance by looking for the perfect romantic getaway. The secret to discovering the ideal getaway resides in taking care to make your plans. Skip the exotic locales and focus on the details. A romantic getaway requires thorough planning and is not the sort of thing one should do at the drop of a hat.

What sort of climate suits your tastes? Is an isolated tropical oasis (Thailand, Hawaii), or ski lodges and fireplaces (the Alps) more your style? Every couple may have a different idea of what a romantic getaway is. It doesn’t matter what you do or where you go, the point is to get away with your spouse and enjoy each other.

Travel agents are experts in helping to organize your time while you’re on vacation. A romantic weekend getaway can be more than a simple holiday, it can quickly turn into a second honeymoon. All you have to do research your options in advance.

No matter what part of the globe you’re from, you’re probably counting down the weeks until your next vacation. Can you remember how happy you were with how your last vacation pictures turned out?

The irony is that it usually takes just as much time to capture outstanding vacation pictures that it does mediocre ones.

So, what’s the secret to capturing better vacation pictures?

It’s pretty simple, really. Here’s how to take phenomenal vacation photographs in 10 easy steps: Take a few seconds before immediately snapping off 5 pictures and think about these questions:

Are all my settings correct (at a minimum, consider: ISO, metering mode, fill flash, and white balance).

Would the photo be more effective if taken using a portrait (vertical) perspective rather than a typical landscape (horizontal) perspective?

Would this picture be much more spectacular if taken at another time of day or night (assuming of course, that you could return then)?

Do I have the right image in my viewfinder? Think of the view as though you were about to crop the final image. Is there way too much extraneous material in the image (or far too little)? Having up to 20% more in an un-cropped photograph is a good idea, but much more than that could begin to degrade the resolution after the photo is cropped.

Could this photograph improve if a circular polarizing filter was used?

Would the photograph be better if I had people (or no people) in the shot?

Am I about to be bitten by a wild animal? (It may not be photo-related, but if the camera is also eaten, then…)

Do I want to be in this photo? If so, use a tripod or ask a stranger to take the shot.

If I re-position myself, could I include something in the foreground (or background) that would improve the photo?

Is there a better angle?

Realize that you probably don’t go on that many vacations per year. Therefore, doesn’t it make a lot more sense to take a few extra seconds before taking your photos and be very satisfied of your vacation pictures? Otherwise, the same old mediocre alternatives are still available.
