St. Croix - Getting There & Getting Around

Airport

Henry E. Rohlsen Airport in St. Croix

There is only one airport in St. Croix. It is the  Henry E. Rohlsen Airport, and handles all international air traffic.

It is located on the southwestern side of the island, and is approximately equal distance from the 2 major towns of Frederiksted to the west, and Christiansted to the north.

The airport is served by several of the major airlines, and a good many smaller carriers offering commuter flights throughout the Caribbean.

The most frequent service coming into St. Croix is provided by American Airlines, with daily flights connecting through San Juan, Puerto Rico, as well as Miami.

Taxi's

Taxi's are available at the airport, as well as at taxi stands in both Christiansted and Fredericksted. The drivers are knowledgeable about the island and short tours can be arranged. Taxi's on St. Croix are not metered, but there are accepted rates set. You should discuss and be sure you agree on the fare, before engaging a cab.

Car Rentals

Judi of Croix - St. Croix

Judi of Croix Car Rentals has served St. Croix for quite a while. Their service is first rate, and they're one of the few companies that will deliver your car to wherever you are, or have it waiting for you at the airport upon arrival.

Just call them up and make arrangements over the phone. When you arrive, one of their representatives will be standing outside baggage claim holding up a sign with your name on it. A quick hello, and a few minutes to sign the paperwork, and you're off. Everything should be so simple.

If you need directions or other information, just ask, or call later with any questions. At the end of your trip, it's even faster - just drive to the designated area in the airport parking lot, park it, put the keys under the mat, lock it up and walk away - doesn't get any better than that.
